The Orientation Dive with Oceandivers
Have one of our friendly Dive Crew members help you understand our local dive environment so you can better enjoy the dive adventure.
You may remember your PADI Instructor saying, “If you travel to a new location or visit an unfamiliar dive environment, get a local orientation.” It's good advice and easy to do. Here at Oceandivers we get many divers visiting us who have never dived in Irish style environments before and even though they may be very experienced in tropical diving, the challenges of colder water and more limited visibility can come as a big surprise!
What you will learn on the Orientation Dive
During the Orientation Dive, we will fit you out with one of our double thickness 7mm wet suits along with boots and gloves. All this neoprene will keep you comfortable, but you will need a much heavier weight system due to the increased buoyancy. We will help you select and check your weights and trim, then it's off for a shallow dive from the boat or shor,e during which we will show you the techniques we use for staying together and maintaining neutral buoyancy.
How to book an Orientation Dive
To book an Orientation Dive, just give us a call or drop us an email, the cost is €79.00 per person including full gear rental and we can usually schedule a suitable time during most weekends throughtout our diving season (April to October) depending on weather.
