Killary Fjord – The Heart of Our Training
Since introducing the PADI education system to Ireland, Oceandivers has proudly conducted its open water training in the stunning surroundings of Killary Fjord—Ireland’s only fjord. This unique and sheltered marine environment, nestled between the rugged peaks of Connemara and the dramatic landscape of Leenane, offers consistently clear waters, making it the ideal location for year-round dive training.
Set against the backdrop of the Connemara National Park, the fjord isn’t just a training ground—it's an experience. Students and divers alike get to immerse themselves in one of Ireland’s most breathtaking natural settings, where scenic boat rides, crystal-clear visibility, and rich marine life come together to create unforgettable weekends both above and below the surface.
From early morning dives to evenings shared around warm meals and laughter, Killary dive weekends are as much about community and adventure as they are about education. It’s where new divers take their first breaths underwater—and where lifelong memories are made.
