Becoming an Instructor

The Instructor Development Course is a 21 module programme of instructor preparation and training. It is the path to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and usually takes 7-10 full days. The course prepares you for an Instructor Evaluation which is run by an independent PADI Evaluator. The IDC can be divided into two segments. The PADI Assistant Instructor course which results in it's own separate certification and an Open Water Scuba Instructor course which provides the remainder of an IDC for certified AI's.

Assistant Instructor

Assistant Instructor's are valuable diving professionals in the world of diver education. It is great rating to achieve as it allows you time to put your teaching skills into practice under the supervision of an instructor before completing the full IDC.
